She was predeceased by: her parents, Pershing Alton Tew and Mary Stephenson Tew; her husband James Timothy Hawkins; and her grandson Christopher Scott Farmer, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Angela Rae McGhee (Michael) of Fayetteville and Christopher Scott Farmer of Eastover; her grandchildren, Mark Alan Pittman of Hope Mills and Kaitlin Farmer of Eastover; and her siblings, Lisa Black of Eastover, Donald Tew of Greensboro, GA and Terry Tew of Eastover.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Cumberland Memorial Gardens (4509 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304).
