He is survived by: his sons, Derek Shirley (Angela) of Farmville and Craig Shirley (Michelle Carter) of Farmville; his sisters, Mary Helen Carraway of Farmville and Debra Carver of Cary; his aunt Dorothy Taylor of Snow Hill; and his grandchildren, Victoria Shirley Regal (Patrick), Alexander Christian Shirley, Rebecca Dawn Shirley (Dylan Shirley) and Sarah Grace Shirley.
