She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy H. Hinson Sr.; and her sisters, Faye Bundy and Melba Barnes (Garland). She is survived by: her children, Jimmy H. Hinson Jr. (Janice) of Farmville and Phoenix Hinson of Fountain; her grandchildren, Jamie Hinson (Amy) and Amanda Hinson; her great grandchild Hunter; her sister Catherine Shelton (Richard) of Wilson; and her brother-in-law James Bundy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
