She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Ellis; and her parents, Alton Matthews and Bessie Matthews. She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Williamson (Bob) of Clayton and Betsy Moore (Chris) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Chase Moore and Sara Williamson; and her siblings-in-law, Billy Ellis (Marie) and Jean Ellis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
