He is survived by: his wife Mary Saul; his daughter Hope Johnson (William) of Farmville; his grandchildren, Johnathan Reel Jr., Brandon Reel, Emerald Reel and Phoebe Reel; his siblings, Betty Johnson of New Jersey, Linda Thompson of Kansas, Patricia Burch of Pennsylvania and Louis Lawrence of Pennsylvania; and his brother-in-law Raymond Patterson (Annette) of LaGrange. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
