He is survived by: his wife Karen Langley Avery; his children, Tammy Modlin (Keith) of Farmville and Timmy Avery of Belvoir; his grandchildren, Brooke Tomlin, Chris, Blake Modlin (Haley), Cody Avery (Ashten), Caleb Avery and Cassidy Avery; and his sister Judy Beaman of Greenville. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
