He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Novy, Janice Brenda Blue and Ann Coye Blue; his children, Janette C. Blue, Marion Chapman, Lorraine Vaughns and Lee Roye Blue, Jr.; his grandchildren, Shanee Major Kelly (Wayne), Sheba Major French (Rahsaan), Christopher L. Chapman, Jumaane Vaughns, Lee Roye Blue III, Taylor Blue and James Joseph Blue; and his great grandchildren, Kaylah T. Brumfield (Omar), Lanice N. Lancaster, Khalil D. Wood, Leah R. Lancaster, Ciara G. Major, Amani I. Kamara, Nia J. Kamara, Camilla E. Kelly, Aaliyah Lancaster, Nyla Lancaster and Caleb K. Brumfield. He is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
During the recent pandemic, Brother Blue stayed connected with the other church members through a telephone ministry that occurred every Sunday morning.
