It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Redden Lewis (Farmville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lewis and Ella Lewis; and his siblings, Charlie Walton Lewis Jr., Kindred Clifton Lewis, James Edward Lewis, Lucille Lewis Jones, Marie Lewis Letchworth and Shirley Lewis Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pollard Lewis; his sons, Michael Joseph Lewis (Sheila) of Fuquay-Varina and Phillip Wade Lewis (Kimberly) of Greenville; his grandson Matthew Lewis; his brothers, Danny Lewis of Elm City, Clarence Walton Lewis of Hamstead and Wayne Lewis of Fuquay-Varina; and his caregivers, Angela Evans, Latoya Banks, Felicia Davis and Pat Hannah.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
