He is survived by: his wife Ann Murphy Parker; his daughter Kathy Parker Summerlin of Farmville; his siblings, Christine Rouse of Wilmington, Joan Whitehurst of Winterville, Robert Parker of Wilson and J. C. Parker of Macclesfield; his grandchildren, Kevin Summerlin and Megan Summerlin (Tyler Shirley); his great grandchildren, Clay Summerlin, Dyelan Austin, Kacie Summerlin, James and Jackson; and his close friend Rebecca Webb.
