He is survived by: his wife Janet Johnson; his sons, Jeff Johnson (Debbie) of Raleigh and Tim Johnson (Tami) of Scuffleton; his stepdaughter Terry Howard (Sam) of Fountain; his grandchildren, Scott Johnson (Jo), Jessica Johnson, Austin Johnson, Amanda Tozzi, David Johnson and Katy Howard; his great grandchildren, Landon and Logan Johnson; and his siblings, Lillie Mae Holden of Holden Beach, Tom Johnson of California and Steve Johnson of Bolivia.
