It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Rouse Smith of Farmville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Janice had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Janice may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Anne Smith of Greenville and James Smith Jr. of Ayden; and her siblings, Doris Bryant of Farmville, Faye Smith of Goldsboro, Robert Rouse, Wayne Rouse of Farmville and Lonnie Rouse of Snow Hill. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel (4226 E Church St, Farmville, NC 27828).
