He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Smith Dolde (Nathan) of Farmville and Steven Christopher Smith (Ashley) of Winterville; his brother David S. Smith (Hollie) of Rockmart, GA; his sister-in-law Janemarie A. Smith of Raleigh; his stepson Kevin L. Smith of Rocky Mount; and his grandchildren, Mason Dolde, Noah Smith, Matthew Smith, Bella Grace Dolde and Winnie Smith.
