He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Peggy Stancil; his children, Rita Stancil Ross of Farmville, Tammie Stancil Coffman (Steve) of Farmville, Fred Stancil Jr. (Dori) of Bethel, Gene Stancil (Dawn) of Fremont, Jeff Stancil (Regina) of Farmville, Eddie Stancil of La Grange and Stephen Stancil; his sister Barbara Stancil Ford of Dobson; and his stepchildren, Elizabeth Goff Johnson of Greenville, Donald Howard Goff (Linda) of Bethel and Joseph Jackson "Jay" Goff of Belvoir. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren.
