He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Taylor and Margaret Taylor Wise; his stepfather Billy Wise; his brother Andrew Taylor; his brother-in-law Wilton "Buddy" King; and his niece Patti Tunn.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie King Taylor; his son DJ Taylor (Angela) of Greenville; his granddaughters, Reese and Georgia Taylor of Greenville; his siblings, Margaret Melvin (Jack) of Fayetteville, Norman Taylor (Lavon) of Farmville, George "Bobo" Taylor (Linda) of Farmville and David Taylor of Farmville; his sister-in-law Florence Taylor of Snow Hill; and his parents-in-law, Kay Miller, Faye Merritt of Tarboro, Mike King (Crystal) of Ayden, Roy King of Boaz, AL and Retha King of Albertville, AL. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and 10 great-great nieces and nephews.
