He is survived by: his children, Deborah Edwards (Louis) of Macclesfield, John David Nanney Jr. (Melissa) of Farmville, Eugene Cayton (Lynn) of Farmville and Thomas Cayton of Greenville; his mother Frances Nanney of Farmville; his sisters, Teresa Harris of Farmville and Marie Joyner of Greenville; his grandchildren, Sheryl Cayton Wynn, Michael Cayton, Chasity Cayton Hardison, David Edwards, Frankie Edwards, John David Nanney Jr., Carley Edwards, Ally Nanney and Grace Nanney; and his great grandchildren, Ainsley Hardison and Dwayne Hardison. He is also survived by father who taught his children.
