It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Carnell Mercer (Farmville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vandiford Mercer; his sons, Keith Carnell Mercer (Donna) of Raleigh and Anthony Scott "Tony" Mercer (Debbie) of Walstonburg; and his grandchildren, Scott Mercer, Leah Mercer, Melissa Parsons, Bess Mercer and Drew Mercer. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
