He was predeceased by: his parents, Enuch Wellmon and Ella Costner Wellmon; his wife Betty Goins Wellmon; and his siblings, Tommie Wellmon, Clemmie "Chick" Wellmon, Howard "Shorty" Wellmon, Sara Jane Towery and Irene Hoyle.
He is survived by: his son Randy Wellmon (Paulette) of Lawndale; his grandchildren, Brandy Wellmon of Austin and Robbie Wellmon of Mooresboro; and his sister Kimmie Hartman of Lawndale.
