He was predeceased by: his parents, John Purvis Ames and Dorothea Imogene Wisely Ames; his daughter Tracy Ames Lind; and his sister JoAnn Jones. He is survived by: his wife Linda Bamford Ames; his sons, Jeff Ames (Todd Jordan) of Lawndale and Mike Ames of Lawndale; his grandchildren, Jeremy Jordan (Jessica), Hailey Beaver (Kyle) and Hannah Ames; and his great grandchildren, Jasa Jordan and Jaxon Jordan.
