He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Lail and Catherine Lail; his son Jeffery Lail; and his siblings, Steve Lail, Charles Lail and Evelyn Goble.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Marlene Hoyle Lail; his children, Scott Lail of Hickory, Travis Van Dyke of Casar, Lori Lail of Hickory and Hidi Ledford (Michael) of Polkville; his siblings, Tom Lail, Ann Hubbard of Casar, Doris Dayberry of Casar and Nancy Dalton of Casar; and his grandchildren, Allison, Lilly, Hannah, Carson and Charlie.
