He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Pruitt and Ellen Denton Pruitt; and his children, Angela Wright and David Truett. He is survived by: his son Christopher Truett of Shelby; his granddaughter Danielle Piercy; his brothers, Fred Pruitt (Sabrina) of Denton and Forrest Pruitt (Darlene) of Havelock; and his close friend David Clay of Fallston. He is also survived by six nephews; one niece; several great-nieces and nephew.
