She was predeceased by: her brother David Scruggs; her father James B Scruggs, Sr.; and her grandparents, Wofford, Anna Scruggs, Bradford and Helen Morser.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Burroughs; her mother Constance Jean Theis of Portsmouth, VA; and her siblings, James Scruggs of Chesapeake, VA, Robert Scruggs of Gulfport, MS, Karen Dejesus of Chesapeake, VA, Peggy Butt of Chesapeake, VA, Brad Scruggs of West Columbia, TX and Carole Scruggs Reeves of Woodbridge, VA.. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and 29 grand nieces and nephews.
