She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Heckman; her parents, Frank Padgett and Lizzy Mae Andrews Padgett; her brother Douglas Padgett; her half-sister Sandra Padgett; and her granddaughter Marianne Faith Vinson.
She is survived by: her children, J. W. Vinson (Susan) of Faison and Deborah Mize of Faison; her close friend Travis Williams of Salemburg; her grandchildren, Aaron Sessoms, Kennedy Grace Vinson, Justin Arnette (Liz), Sarah Boberg (Bradley) and Jamie Miller (Ryan); her stepchildren, Leslie Heckman (Gail), Bobby Heckman and Andrea Heckman; and her half-brother Spencer Padgett of Fayetteville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
