He was predeceased by: his parents, Audie Jerome and Lillie Jernigan; and his siblings, Leslie Jernigan and Shelby Jean Pearsall. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Miller Jernigan; his daughter Kimberly Jernigan Jackson; his son-in-law Perry Jackson of Clinton; his son Anthony; his daughter-in-law Renee Jernigan of Elizabeth City; his grandchildren, Matthew Rogers (Amber) of Faison, Diana Hairr (Brandon) of Turkey, Taylor Jernigan of Greenville and Hunter Jernigan of Elizabeth City; his great grandchildren, Gavin Hairr and Kadelyn Hairr of Turkey; his nieces, Donna Pearsall, Nicole King and Nikki Ennis; and his nephew Chuck Pearsall.
