She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt and Ludie Jernigan Britt; her spouse Odis Ray Sutton; her siblings, Mary Ellen Britt and Ellis Britt; and her great grandchild Eliana Bren Navy.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Gail Sutton Carpenter (Frank) of Fayetteville, Odis Wayne Sutton (Diane) of Faison and Arnold Ray Sutton (Tina) of Kenly; and her siblings, Frances B. Thornton of Mt. Olive and W. L. Britt of LaGrange. She is also survived by five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
