With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie Elwood Smith of Faison, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie and Bettie Bradshaw Smith; and his siblings, Alice Long, Edith Wilson, Ludie Waters, Ammie Cook, Mae Smith and Rev. Bill Smith.

He is survived by: his sons, William Elwood "Bill" Smith (Melanie) of Apex and David Robert Smith (Michelle) of Faison; and his grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Travis Smith and Hannah Smith.
