He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther King Deaver and Johnnie Ivey Deaver; his stepmother Ruby Deaver; and his siblings, Rosemary Howard, J. Ivey Deaver, Jr. and Henry Deaver.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Howard Deaver; his children, Amanda Deaver Davidson (James) of Seven Springs and Lucas Deaver (Paula) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Kalaeb Pate of Seven Springs, Mackenzie Pate of Seven Springs, Jonathan Deaver of Goldsboro and Charlie Deaver of Goldsboro; his sisters, Ruth (Larry DeYoung), Jean (Jerry Blackman), Joyce Pierce of Skeeter Point and Alice (Doug Thompson); his stepsister Hope Pate (Greg) of Florida; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Deaver of Skeeter Point, Terri Deaver of Skeeter Point and Robert Howard of Raleigh; and his father-in-law Ressie Howard of Mount Olive. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
