She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy Lee Lassiter and Hedy Elizabeth Rhodes Lassiter; her significant other Charlie Sutton; her grandson Matthew Lee Carr; and her sister Cora Ellen Sutton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Sutton of Wilmington and Lynn King (David) of Faison; her grandsons, William Carr (Alicia) of Clinton, Justin King (Stephanie) of Clayton and Zachary King (Casey) of Faison; her great grandchildren, Colton Carr of Clinton and Deek King of Clayton; her sister Betty Jo Lassiter of Newton Grove; her niece Jo Ellen Naylor (Ken) of Faison; and her caregivers, Dorothy Kraus, Ann Oates, Louise Williams, Betty Murray, Cynthia Denning and Emma Draughon.
