He is survived by: his wife Minnie Carpenter Hughes; his daughters, Karen Lewis (Bruce) and Lori Klein (Richard); his sisters, Estelle Wilson, Myrtle Billings, Helen Burleson, Effie Woody and Kay Freeman; his grandson Garrett Lewis (Mandi); and his great grandchild Bryce Lewis.
