She was predeceased by: her husband John Henry Young; her parents, John Harrison and Bertsie Dotson (Briggs); and her siblings, John, Sherman, Harry Dotson, Willa Mae Wilson and Frances Souther.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Young (Carolyn) of Morganton and Greg Young (Kelly) of Candler; her grandchildren, Kile Young, Stephen Young (Ashley), Josh Young (Brooke) and Alayah Young; her great grandchildren, Carson, Noah, Sadie, Lily and Conner; and her siblings, Wilburn Dotson of Hendersonville, Barbara Peterson (Robert) and Jean Thomas. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
