In the vast expanse of eternity, Gwendolyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gwendolyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robey Harrison and Alene Marlowe Harrison; and her brother Steve Harrison. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kevin Lyda (Hannah) and Rachel Lyda Bradley (Dalton); and her great grandchildren, Leona and Freddy Lyda.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 26th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harwood Home For Funerals (208 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Emma's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (417 Emmas Grove Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eliada Homes or the Black Mountain Home for Children.
