He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hezekiah "Hez" Clark and Syndia Bryant Clark; his children, Wayne Scott Jordan and Debbie Smathers; and also Carol Hunt Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Clark (Dena) of Candler and Arlene Morgan (Darryl) of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
