She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Watson and Leila Hayes Watson; her husband Robert John Furey, Sr.; her siblings, Lois Boone, Rivers and William Watson; and her son-in-law Gary Lowe.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Refenes (Jim), Wendy Lowe, Cindy Melton (Tommy) and Kenneth Fussell (Julie); her grandchildren, Amy, Lauren (Russell), Jonathan (Sharon) and Ben (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Emma, Bella, Evelyn, Mia, Santi, Carter, Juliana and Whitten; and her sisters, Patricia Throckmorton (Keith) and Elizabeth Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial contributions be made to Flesher's Rest Home, P.O. Box 1160, Fairview, NC 28730.
