He is survived by: his wife Doris Bethea Vaught; his children, Ismail (Rose Mary) and Mary Katherine Grissett (Johnny) of Conway, SC.; his adoptive daughter Prophetess Alma McCants (Roger) of Rowland, NC.; his grandchildren, Johnny, Jimmy, Willie and Dynasia; his siblings, Walker Vaught of Myrtle Beach, SC, Johnny Caleb Vaught of Charleston, SC., Elizabeth V. Hemingway of Popular, SC., Lena V. Barker of Popular, SC., Sherrie V. Delong of Popular, SC. and Wendy Todd of Brooksville; his siblings-in-law, Waymon Bethea of Fairmont, Josh Jr. Bethea of Florida, Lawrence Bethea (Wilma) of Raleigh, NC, Rev. Johnnie Bethea (Merion) of Durham, NC., Pastor Mary Renfrow, Angela Bethea of Fairmont and Mable Fletcher (James) of Lumberton, NC.; and his close friend Rev Mitchell Ingram. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
