He is survived by: his wife Betty Strickland Ivey; his children, Laura Owens (David), Brittany Ivey, Ryan Phelps (Rachael) of Murphy, NC, Joseph Rouse of Georgia and Michael Bommarito of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Kylei Rose Hunt of Laurinburg and Alexander Chase Owens; and his siblings, Joey Ivey, Guy Ivey of Fairmont, Susan Sapp (Eddie) of Winston-Salem, Grant Ivey of Lumberton and Terry Thomas of Lumberton.
