She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Lambert and Mary Hunt Lambert; her husband Ralph Percell Hammonds; her son Curlie Hammonds; her siblings, Johnny Lambert, Howard "Junebug" Lambert, Lorene Hunt, Suzie Chavis and Georgianna Butler; and her grandson Travis Worriax.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Lambert of Atlantic Beach, SC, Kathy Schmale (David) of Orrum, NC, Lorrie Hammonds of Fairmont, NC, Christopher Hammonds, Vanessa Lambert of Fairmont, NC and Susan Hammonds of Orrum, NC; her siblings, Gerald Lambert (Helen) of Rowland, James Lambert (Margie) of Lumberton, Nancy Lambert of Rowland, Eva Locklear of Rowland, Isadora Chavis of Fairmont, Annie Jones of Rowland and Mary Jones of Fairmont; and her granddaughters, Tiffany Hammonds and Crystal Clark. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
