It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Arthur Bailey of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bailey and Thelma Blackmon Bailey; and his brothers, Elvin Bailey, Maxton Bailey, Winston Bailey and Joseph Alton Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Bailey of Fairmont, NC; his children, Frances Kubelle (Frank) of Trumbull, CT, Mark Bailey of Bladenboro, NC, Kimberly Cerino (Tony) of Sherrills Ford, NC, James Bailey (Shannon) of York, SC and Renee Greenberg (Scott) of Sherrills Ford, NC; his sisters, Eula Purtlebaugh of Indiana, Elease Webster of Fairmont, NC and Lila Bufalini; and his pets, Sampson and Ellie. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
