He was predeceased by: his parents, David Britt and Melba Sealy Britt; and his sister Janice Talmadge. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cooke Britt; his children, Richard Britt, Jr. (Donna) of Orrum and Tammy Britt Monroe (Alex) of Fairmont; his sister Linda Britt of Douglasville, GA.; and his grandchildren, Lauren Monroe, Rick Britt, Terri Smith (Jared) and Katye Monroe. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
