She was predeceased by: her mother Cattie Mae Hayes; and her sister Zelma Mae Carter McNeill. She is survived by: her husband Cleveland Oxendine, Jr.; her son Chad Oxendine of Charlotte; her daughter-in-law Shirley Freeman-Oxendine of Fairmont; her siblings, Sheila Hammonds (Anthony) of Lumberton and Billy Joe "Bug" Carter of Lumberton; her niece Lakisha Hammonds of Lumberton; her nephew Mickey McNeill (Earlene) of Lumberton; and her mother-in-law Bernetha Oxendine of Fairmont. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
