She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Kenneth Caulk and Illa Mae Baxley Caulk; her son William "Will" Gerald Leggett, Jr.; her sisters, Jennie Lou Atkinson, Marilyn Hughes and Libby Branch; her in-laws, Bracey and Lillian Leggett; and her siblings-in-law, Lynn Johnson and Carolyn Caulk.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Leggett of Fairmont, NC; her son Matthew Todd Leggett of New York; her grandson William Taylor Leggett of Lumberton, NC; her siblings, Kenneth Caulk and Ruby Kempf (Charles Kempf) of Michigan; and her siblings-in-law, Carey Branch of Lumberton, NC, John Leggett (Sandy) of Fairmont, NC, Ronald Hughes of Fairmont, NC and Nancy Johnson of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church in memory of Nell Leggett.
