She was predeceased by: her father Learon Oxendine. She is survived by: her husband Allen Barnes; her son Allen Lynn Barnes; her daughter-in-law Rebekah Hammonds; her son Junior Strickland of Pembroke; her mother Rosie Hunt Oxendine of Fairmont; and her siblings, Ronnie Oxendine (Genia) of Lumberton, Jimmy Carter of Fairmont, Rose Marie Freeman of Fairmont, NC, Linda Hunt (Clayton) of Fairmont, NC and Fredia Oxendine of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pleasant View Baptist Church (198 Pleasantview, Church road, Fairmont, NC 28340). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery (198 Pleasantview, Church road, Fairmont, NC 28340).
