He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Bailey, Sr. and Maggie Merritt Bailey; his wife Jean Powell Bailey; his children, Raymond Bailey, Timothy "Tim" Bailey and Lonna Gibson; his grandson Coty Gibson; and his sisters, Martha Simmons, Laura Barnes, Mary Hodge and Linda Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Bailey (Zach) of Orrum, NC, Mikey Bailey (LouAnn) of Hurley, VA and Will Bailey of Fairmont, NC; his sisters, Virginia Caulder of Fairmont, NC and Marie Hayes (Larry) of Whiteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Cain, Bayleigh, Aubrey and Paisley.
