It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lola Hunt of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cisero Mitchell and Ethel Hunt Mitchell; and her siblings, Daniel, Clemon, Buddy Mitchell, Sarah Jane Oxendine and Margaret Spaulding.
She is survived by: her brothers, Kale of Fairmont and David Mitchell of Fairmont; her husband Silvester Hunt; and her children, Gail Mitchell (Jim) of Fairmont, Sylvia Taylor (Ralph) of West Port and Timothy Wayne Hunt (Angie) of West Port. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild (her boo boo), extended family and many devoted friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church (3396 Iona Church Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at the New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery (3396 Iona Church Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340).
