He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father James Wesley Hammonds; his sister Marie Bledsoe; his wife Diane Butler Hammonds; his mother Annie Retha Hammonds of Rowland; his daughter Tina Hammonds of Fairmont; his siblings, Benjamin Cummings of Florida, Jakie Hammonds of Laurinburg, Michael Hammonds of Rowland, Mona Jacobs of Rowland and Peggy Hammonds of Red Springs; and his grandson Brad Wesley Hammonds.
