He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Catherine Scott Jacobs and Calvin Coolidge Jacobs; his son Matthew Jacobs; his brother Lawrence Ray Jacobs; his close friend April Locklear Brooks; his children, Jody Lambert of Pembroke, Cassondra Brooks of Fairmont, Pete Allen Jacobs of Pembroke, Tony Brooks of Fairmont, Joshua Brooks of Lumberton and Samuel Brooks of Rowland; and his siblings, Lynda Canady of Lumberton, Jane Jacobs of Pembroke, Ted Lee Jacobs of Dillon, SC, Leon Coolidge Jacobs of Rowland and Mary Lisa Locklear of Pembroke. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren.
