It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hervie Stenson Locklear of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Jessie Locklear; his wife Dr. Josephine Locklear; and his siblings, Zadie Ray Locklear, Lydia Doris Locklear, Vida Locklear, Joseph Ira Locklear and Jesse Locklear, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Jason Patrick Locklear, Deena Locklear (Bradley), Melanie Hunt (Dwayne) and Millicent Strickland (Rex Brewer); his sisters, Myrtle Rose Locklear (James), Bertis Lee Brown and Madis Ray Maynor; his grandchildren, Cetera Hunt (Landon), Kayla Hunt, Soraya Locklear, Asa Locklear, Stinson Locklear and Maya Collins; his great grandchild Buchanan Jacobs; and his close friends, Lynn Hunt, Edsel Lowery, Jimmy Lynn Hunt, Keith Rogers, Anthony Hunt, Master Samuel Mitchell, Lynn Locklear and Ethan Korosko. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
