She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan Davis and Ida Bass Davis; her husband E. J. Dent; her sons, James Harold Dent, Stephen Dent, Donald Dent and Hugh Allen Dent; and her siblings, Linwood Davis, Holmer Davis and Mary Barrentine.
She is survived by: her children, Garon Dent (Sharon) of Orrum, NC, Wanda Britt of Hamer, SC and Christilyn Page (Eric) of Lumberton, NC; and her daughter-in-law Claudia Dent of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
