It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Clark Kerns (Fairmont, North Carolina), who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Clark and Florence Carter Clark; her husband Jack Kerns; her sons, Dwight Kerns and Wyman Kerns; and her siblings, Annie Lou Hunt, Cordia Val Jones, Clementine Bartley (Tina), Aulitha Jacobs, Patricia C. Hunt, Janice Davis, Adnel Clark and Carlton Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Kerns, Joan Tyner (Barry) of Raeford, NC and Gary Kerns (Betty) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Dwayne Kerns of Swan Quarter, NC, Carlos R. Tyler (Angela) of Fairmont, NC, Rando Tyler (Marie) of Raeford, NC and Santanna S. Tyler (Michael Byrd) of Lumberton, NC; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Tyler, Lagan Tyler, Layke Tyler, Jaydon Tyler, Braydon Tyler, Aiden Tyler, Shayna Tyler and Sayoka Tyler. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
