He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hunt and Dora Hunt; and his siblings, Lazell Hunt, LJ Hunt, Barver Hunt (Bobby), Ardeen Hunt, Sr., James Wilton Hunt (Buddy), Doreen Hunt Jacobs (Sissy), Ruthsell Hunt Goins, Nezzie Hunt and Frances Dale Hunt.
He is survived by: his son Jerry Hunt of Lumberton; his siblings, Mabel Hunt Revels of Maxton and Larece Hunt (Audrey) of Fairmont; and his niece Darleen Hunt Strickland of Fairmont. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
