She was predeceased by: her parents, Rowland Lewis and Maggie Reynolds Lewis; her former husband Eddie Carl Smith; her son Eddie Carl Smith, Jr.; and her brothers, Bishop Tommy Lewis and Jerry Lewis.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Bass; her children, Paul Bass (Hollie) of Lumberton, David Bass of Fairmont, Angela Baxley (Bill) of Lumberton, Laura Gonzalez (Gary) of Jamestown and Jenny McGee (Bobby) of Fairmont; and her siblings, Larry Lewis of Lumberton, Terry Lewis of Lumberton and Faye Benton of Lumberton. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
