She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hammond and Lou Chavis; her husband J. W. Hunt; her son Jimmy Martin Hunt, Sr.; her son-in-law Larry Barnes; and her great grandchild Tyler Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Hunt (Katherine) of Fairmont, NC, Pamela H. Britt (Richard) of Holden Beach, NC, Becky H. Barnes of Fairmont, NC, Bobbie H. Oxendine (Roger) of Rowland, NC, Teresa H. Mitchell (Darrel) of Rowland, NC and Daphne H. Wynn (Jeff) of Lumberton, NC; and also Crafton Chavis. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
